This is for all the NYers who will be staying in the city and may not have family nearby to celebrate with, and/or for tourists in NYC who’d like to experience a traditional Thanksgiving dinner with locals!
NOTE: Seating at this event will be ‘open-style’ on my couch and various chairs. There will be no formal dining table. Meal will be served buffet style with diners eating from plates on their laps (meat can be cut beforehand on counter-top…)

Turkey (parts; not a whole turkey) with Gravy and Homemade Stuffing

Make-Ahead Mashed Potato
Green Bean Salad
Baked Kabocha Squash
Whole Cranberry Sauce with Orange Essence
Beverage: Warm Mulled Apple Cider
Dessert: Pumpkin Pie with Bourbon-Spiked Fresh Whipped Cream

Confirmed attendees: myself, three men living NYC (two from Texas and one from San Fran), a Greek-American man from Astoria, a woman from Norway who now lives in the Bronx, and another NYer who was born in Iran and came to the US with his family at the age of 11. A husband and wife from the Netherlands are also attending. (It’s their 4th visit to NYC and their first time experiencing a Thanksgiving dinner with locals in the U.S. The husband is ‘surprising’ his wife…she has no idea of their actual dinner plans for Thanksgiving! 😉
